Terms of service

This document is in interim form pending review by counsel and will be updated before public launch.
These terms are an agreement between you and Pixel Master Technologies LLC ("we," "us," "our") covering your use of the Casebound app and casebound.co. By creating an account or using Casebound, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Casebound. If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf where required by local law.
Your account
Provide accurate information when you create an account. Keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Your content
Your library, lists, reading sessions, notes, and other content remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as required to operate the service.
Anonymized metadata corrections you submit (e.g., a corrected page count) may improve the shared book metadata cache for all users. This is a deliberate design decision.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use Casebound to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Send malicious or excessive traffic.
- Harass other users (when light social features arrive in a later version).
Subscriptions and billing
Casebound has a free tier and a paid tier ("Pro"). Pro is billed monthly ($4.99) or annually ($29.99) via Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless canceled before then.
Cancel any time via your Apple, Google, or RevenueCat account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by the payment platform according to its policies.
Service "as is"
Casebound is provided as is. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it'll be uninterrupted or error-free. We don't warrant that book metadata is accurate — we cache from public sources and rely on user corrections.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Termination
You can stop using Casebound and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms or for prolonged inactivity (we'll notify you first when feasible). On account deletion, your personal data is removed per the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Jurisdiction — confirm with attorney, placeholder Delaware], USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction.
Changes
We'll update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and via email if you have notifications enabled. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
