Delete your account or data

This page explains how to delete your Casebound account, how to delete individual data without closing your account, and exactly what is removed. Casebound is published by Pixel Master Technologies LLC.

Delete your entire account

In the app — takes about 30 seconds

1. Open Casebound on your phone.
2. Tap the Settings tab, at the far right of the bottom tab bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. It is also available under Settings → Account → Delete account.
4. Confirm when prompted.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no separate confirmation email and no recovery window — once you confirm, the account is gone.

By email — if you can no longer sign in

Email support@pixel-master.com from the address on your Casebound account, with the subject Account deletion request. We verify the request against the email on the account and complete it within 30 days, usually much sooner. If we cannot verify that you own the account, we will not delete it.

Delete some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to delete your account to remove individual data. Everything below can be deleted from inside the app at any time:

• Books — open the book, then Remove from library. This also deletes its format records and progress.
• Reading sessions — open the session from Stats or the reading calendar and delete it.
• Reviews — open your review and delete it.
• Book club posts and comments — use the overflow menu on your own post or comment.
• Activity feed posts and comments — use the overflow menu on your own item.
• Photos — delete spine photos, post photos and club cover images from the screen they were uploaded to. To replace or clear your profile photo, edit your profile from Settings → Account.
• Custom lists and wishlist items — delete them from the Lists screen.
• Profile details — clear your bio or display name under Settings → Account.
• Analytics — turn off "Share anonymous analytics" under Settings → Privacy & data. It is off unless you turn it on.

If you want something removed that you cannot delete yourself, email support@pixel-master.com with the subject Data deletion request and tell us what to remove.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your account, email address and login credentials
• Your profile, username, display name, bio and avatar
• Your library, formats, ownership and reading status
• Reading sessions, stats, streaks and goals
• Custom lists and wishlist
• Reviews, ratings and notes
• Book club posts, comments and memberships
• Activity feed posts and comments
• Follows, followers and blocks
• Friend recommendations you sent or received
• Uploaded photos, including spine photos and post photos
• Lending records
• Your push notification token

If you signed in with Apple, deletion also revokes Casebound's Sign in with Apple token, so the app no longer appears in your Apple ID's list of connected apps.

What is kept, and for how long

• Shared book catalogue entries. Book titles, authors, page counts and covers are shared across all Casebound users and are not personal to you. Corrections you made stay in the catalogue and are not attributed to you publicly.
• Crash reports and product analytics. Retained in aggregated or de-identified form. Crash reports age out within 90 days; analytics within 12 months.
• Subscription and purchase records. Retained where required for tax, accounting and dispute resolution.
• Encrypted backups. Deleted records may persist in routine backups for up to 30 days before those backups age out.

Your subscription

Deleting your Casebound account does not cancel a Casebound Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and we cannot cancel one on your behalf.

• iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Casebound → Cancel Subscription
• Android: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Casebound → Cancel

Cancel before you delete your account, or you will continue to be billed.

Export your data first

Deletion is permanent. If you want a copy of your library and reading history, export it before you delete: Settings → Export library, or Settings → Privacy & data → Export my data.
